In a perfect world, everything would go smoothly. We know that never happens.
Here's some guidelines to help sales go smoother:
1) Be descriptive. More details, More better.
2) LOCATION. Provide your location. It doesn't have to be an address. You can provide an area in the location field.
3) If you don't want to provide a phone number, that's fine. Email addresses work too - but make sure to communicate. Don't be a ghost.
4) List a reasonable price. A Rhode Island Red isn't going to go for $75.
5) Friendliness goes a LONG WAY. Use ChatGPT if you can't write friendly.
6) Always meet in person before exchanging money. NEVER use digital before seeing the product. DON'T GET SCAMMED. Use your common sense... if it smells like sh*t, it probably is.
7) Select the right category and location. This helps a TON for sorting.
8) Post CLEAR pictures. ONE animal per photo. This helps stop confusion.
9) SICK ANIMALS MUST BE LISTED AS SUCH. Any sick birds MUST be killed on premises and sold for food. DO NOT sell sick birds live. If you're in MD, and someone reports this to me, I'll forward the MDA your(The seller) address and details. Have some morals, and don't screw over the next person. List these under "MEAT Chickens", and disclose the symptoms. Poultry diseases are not zoonotic, and will not infect people. HPAI being a zoonotic line crosser to some extent, and killing quickly.
10) FARM ANIMALS ONLY. They must serve a purpose if it's a cat or dog. Barn cats and LGD's OKAY - No personal pet sales.
Most of all, BE SAFE.
